Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
John 20:17

In John 20:17 the point is that Jesus had not yet ascended bodily to the Father, which is what He was about to do; obviously, Jesus did not ascend bodily to the Father when He was on the cross or in the grave.
