"Does God ever get furious?" (Alleged Contradiction #E5942)
In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day. Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
However, many verses state that God does become angry, even furious: Isaiah 34:2, Jeremiah 21:5, Jeremiah 30:23, Micah 5:15, Nahum 1:2, and Zechariah 8:2, for example.
Yes, sin makes God angry.
Just because God said “Fury is not in me” during one instance at one time does not mean that He never becomes angry. The Bible says that God is slow to anger (Psalms 103:8), but He does become angry.
